IMPORTANT: Coronavirus measures
All participants are required to have a valid Covid-Certificate that is accepted by the swiss covid check app (verifier). Your Covid-Certificate has to be valid throughout the entire duration event. This means that whenever your certificate is checked throughout the event, it must be valid. You will present your covid certificate to us on arrival at HB Zürich. If you fail to provide a valid certificate you are not allowed to join the event. Further consequences may apply. The house rules of the place we are staying must be followed, especially the rules regarding covid. We are required to enforce these rules due to the covid pandemic and national regulations by the BAG.
Description
What can you expect at the Ersti-Weekend? As the name suggests: Tips for starting your studies, a good number of your new fellow students and lots of games and parties in the evening! Four professors will also give short, exciting insights into their lives as computer scientists.
Transport
In order to guarantee a cozy atmosphere and so that we all definitely get to know each other, we will move into a house in beautiful Wildhaus SG, which we will travel to by train and bus. Departure: Friday, September 24, 2021, Zurich HB at the group meeting point at 3:00 p.m. Return: Sunday, September 26, 2021. Arrival in Zurich around 4 p.m. At the meeting point, make sure that you stand next to the people with the VIS flag (yellow spiral with the lettering "VIS"), because the AMIV and the VMP also travel to their ESW at the same time. And you definitely don't want to spend a weekend with them;)
What to bring with you
Meals are included in the trip. So you basically only have to take with you what you otherwise consider to be vital for a 48-hour weekend trip ... Note from the Organising Committee: Your laptop is not vital. Trust us! (Especially since we cannot accept liability for things that are lost.) Otherwise you need a sleeping bag, fitted sheet, clothes, toilet bag and finches, as shoes are forbidden in the whole house. Make sure that at about 1,100 m above sea level maybe there are no more midsummer temperatures.

If you've made it this far, you're on the right track. The costs including travel and meals are 55CHF. Payment must be made by Wednesday, September 22nd. otherwise the registration will be canceled and the next one on the waiting list looks forward to their chance. You can either pay online or by cash by coming into the oVIS in the CAB building and paying there.
The fine print
A reimbursement of the costs is excluded. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. All information provided may be subject to change.
