VMI Summer Retreat

You can sign up for this event with priority access to the summer retreat if you have started your current position on or after June 15, 2021 and if it's not full yet.
The number of participants is capped on purpose, for now. The actual number of participants accepted in the end will still be 32. We'll pull in people from the waiting list based on availability for the individual retreats.
The VMI Summer Retreat is for all scientific staff of the ETH Computer Science department. This year, we’re going to the beautiful town of Interlaken, Switzerland. The retreat will be split into two groups: Sat-Tue Sep 10-13 and Thu-Sun Sep 15-18.
The retreat is fully supported by the department. No need to take vacation days (but let your supervisor know that you will attend). The retreat consists of a mixture of scientific workshops and talks given by the participants, socializing and games, as well as leisure activities such as hikes, excursions and cultural exchanges.
For the scientific program, every attendee must either give a presentation, organize a workshop or act as a reviewer. We’ll contact you closer to the retreat to learn more about your session and the desired length.
