The Helvetic coding contest known as HC² is the biggest competitive programming contest in Switzerland. Held over one day on the EPFL campus, it attracts over 200 participants with a passion for competitive programming. After 4 years of absence, this year, for the first time, the Polympiads association is organizing the event on Saturday, April 13th, 2024.

Date: Saturday, 13/04/2024 Time: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Where: CO building, level 0, EPFL

Competition format: Teams of up to 3 participants will work on competitive programming problems together.

Programming languages and tools: C++17, Java 11, Python 2.7, and Python 3.7. You will be able to code using Emacs, Geany, Vim, Code::Blocks, Visual Studio Code, Atom, Kate, Eclipse, and GDB.

Meals: Morning: Breakfast buffet (croissants, chocolate, fruit juice, etc.) (included) Lunch: Sandwiches, non-alcoholic drinks (included) Evening: Pizza (Additional 12CHF)

There are three options for people willing to participate:

1) You do not want VIS to cover your participation and travel costs: Just register at Polympiads Website filling up the Google Form. https://www.polympiads.ch/HC2/

2) You want VIS to cover your participation cost. Register here on vis website and write "participation cost covered by vis" at the end of Polympiads registration form at remarks/question.

3) You want VIS to cover your participation&travel cost. We expect you to make a team of three. If you don't know anyone to make a team, come to the cpc meetup on Thursday 28 of March at 7pm in CAB H53 or ask nicely on CPC Discord https://discord.gg/TRzMJuNF. Further, register here on vis website and write "participation cost covered by vis" at the end of Polympiads registration form at remarks/question.
