Monday, 14.07.2025 - Friday, 18.07.2025, 13:00 - 16:00 Teaching assistant: Benjamin Gruzman, Language: DE

IMPORTANT: The workshop is held at the same time every day from Monday - Friday (you register for the whole week). Please only sign up if you are able to attend in person as we do not offer any online participation. You will be notified of the room information once you have confirmed your participation.

What are PVWs? The exam preparation workshop is a 5-day period where you are given the opportunity to review the lecture material, clear up ambiguities and prepare for the exam under the guidance of teaching assistants from the corresponding lecture.

Each day follows an exercise session format with emphasis on interaction, where you should actively participate, solve exercises and ask questions. You will benefit most from this opportunity by actively addressing the gaps in your understanding and furthering your knowledge.

The workshop is also intended to serve as a supplement and not as a substitute for independent learning. Whilst it is not required for participants to study intensively in advance, a basic level of familiarity with the topics (e.g. through regular work during the semester) is expected.

The PVWs are open to all students who are enrolled in the respective lecture, including non-VIS members, and all PVW scripts can be found in the exam collection on the VIS website.

REGISTRATION: After registration, you can pay online to confirm your attendance within 3 days, missing the payment will result in your automatic removal from the event. If you want to register for more than one PVW, please register for all of them first and pay after you have checked that they are the correct ones.

If you register for a PVW, all overlapping PVWs will be blocked automatically. You can unsubscribe again if you signed up by mistake or changed your mind. If a workshop is already full, you will be put on the waiting list but there will still be a chance for you to attend.

DISCLAIMER: We would like to point out that the PVWs are not suitable for all types of learners, and we do not take any responsibility for the participants’ exam results. Please be aware that the course is organized by volunteers and that the quality of execution cannot be guaranteed in case of unforeseen events.

REGULATIONS: The attendance of the workshop without payment is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN and we will enforce entrance control with the event QR code system. Note that anyone not conforming to this can be subject to a ban from all VIS events for durations up to one year.

REFUNDS: We do not offer refunds unless you have a solid reason (for example sickness with doctors note), since there are limited spots.
