Learn the fundamentals of Golang through live coding, curated challenges and real-time explanations. To make it fun, we’ll use a Pokémon-themed terminal app as our playground. Along the way, you’ll explore Go’s unique strengths and quirks – and discover why it's increasingly used by companies like Google, Netflix and Uber. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the core concepts of Golang – a modern, high-performance language designed for simplicity and scalability. Guided by two ipt consultants (and ETH Alumni), you’ll build a Pokémon-themed terminal app using the PokéAPI and tackle curated coding challenges that introduce key features like types, structs, slices and interfaces. You'll also gain insight into how Golang is used in real-world IT consulting projects to build reliable backend services and scalable cloud architectures. No prior Go experience is required, but general programming knowledge is expected. Ready? Let’s Go – and catch some code.

Why can't I sign up for this workshop?
If you signed up for the main event after the early access deadline (8:00pm, 18th of September), you can sign up from the 21st of September. But don't worry, we will send you a reminder when the sign up opens. Early access is our way to thank early supporters!
