Who we are

For the more than 2400 Bachelor's and Master's students in Computer Science, Data Science and Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, the VIS is the first point of contact for events, excursions, study support and representation vis-à-vis the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich. All these offers, from the welcome weekend for first-semester students to exam preparation courses for the most important exams to the largest academic company fair for computer science in Switzerland, are organised by some 130 students on a completely voluntary basis alongside their studies. The VIS is part of the Association of Students at ETH Zurich (VSETH), which is the umbrella organisation for all student organisations at ETH Zurich representing the more than 20,000 students to the university as a whole and, like the VIS, is omnipresent in student life outside the lecture halls.

How to reach us:

During the semester, you may visit us in our office from Monday to Friday, 12:15 to 13:00, or reach us by email. It is also likely that someone is in the office outside of these times (including semester breaks). To make sure someone is around just write an email to vis ät vis.ethz.ch. If you want to contact some VIS department directly, you will find a list of people at Board.
