Exam preparation workshops FS23 overview

So that we, the Lernunterstützungskommission of the VIS (short: LUK), can support you during the learning phase, we are again organizing our popular exam preparation workshops, or PVWs for short, this semester.
TL;DR:
What: Exam preparation workshops for the following subjects from the first and second years: "FMFP", "Analysis 1", "Digital Design and Computer Architecture", "Probability and Statistics", "Parallel Programming", "Algorithms and Probability" and "Discrete Mathematics".
For whom: all students who are enrolled in the respective lecture and need additional support during the learning phase (including non-VIS members)
Date: 03/07/2023 - 14/07/2023
Costs: 50.- per PVW
Location: ETH Zentrum
Maximum number of participants: 33/40 people per workshop
What are PVWs?
The workshops are led by TAs of the respective lecture and should give you the opportunity during 5 half days to practice the material of the lecture, to eliminate ambiguities and to focus on the preparation for the exam - the workshops serve as a supplement and not as a substitute for the learning phase. We attach great importance to it is designed to be interactive, so we also expect the participants that they actively participate, solve exercises and ask questions. So you will also benefit most from this offer. We want to ask participants to prepare for the workshop. That does not mean that you have to study intensively in advance, but you should have dealt with the topics, e.g regular work during the semester, and know where you are have gaps.

In addition, we do not accept any responsibility for your exam result and do not guarantee a pass of exams. Please be always aware that the offer of organized by volunteers, and we in case of unforeseen events cannot guarantee implementation. In addition, all PVW Scripts can be found in the exam collection on the VIS website [2].
