At the Symposium, you can choose from 25 Talks, 14 workshops, and 3 escape rooms, each featuring researchers and practitioners from academia and industry. You will also have the chance to explore our exhibition, where you will discover amazing technology, a race car, and more.
For the first time in VIScon history, we partnered up with the VIS CPC to organize two competitive programming competitions with prizes up to 125CHF. Sign up for the morning competition or afternoon competition, and join us at the award ceremony during the closing ceremony in Audimax.
Last but definitely not least, of course, you will be accompanied by free food and drinks throughout the day, as well as a delicious apéro at the end.

Yes, VIScon is open to everyone! To sign up you will need to create a SWITCH edu-ID if you don't have one yet.
When is the VIScon Symposium?
The Symposium is on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. You can attend as many or as few talks and workshops as you like.
Where is the VIScon Symposium?
The Symposium is held at the main building (HG) of ETH Zurich (Address: Rämistrasse 101, 8006 Zürich).

The Symposium is a one-day event that showcases the latest developments in Computer Science as well as fun and interesting projects and research.
Who is VIScon for?
VIScon is mainly aimed at Computer Science students. However, the Symposium is also open to anyone who is curious to learn more about Computer Science, beyond what is taught in lectures. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you will find something that suits your level and interests.
Will I get food?
Yes, you will get free breakfast, lunch, and apéro at the Symposium. We will also provide drinks throughout the day.
