Exam preparation workshops FS24 overview

In order to provide you with during the learning phase, the Lernunterstützungskommission of the VIS (abbr: LUK) are once again organizing our popular exam preparation workshops (abbr: PVWs) this semester.
TL;DR:
What: Exam preparation workshops for the following subjects from the first and second years: "FMFP", "Analysis 1", "Digital Design and Computer Architecture", "Probability and Statistics", "Parallel Programming" and "Algorithms and Probability".
For whom: all students who are enrolled in the respective lecture and need additional support during the learning phase (including non-VIS members)
Date: 17/06/2024 - 28/06/2024
Costs: 50.- per PVW
Location: ETH Zentrum
Maximum number of participants: 30-33 people per workshop

What are PVWs?
The workshops are led by TAs of the respective lecture and should give you the opportunity, during 5 half days to practice the material of the lecture, to eliminate ambiguities and to focus on the preparation for the exam - the workshops serve as a supplement and not as a substitute for the learning phase. We attach great importance to the interactive aspect of the workshop, so we expect the participants to also be active in discussions, solving exercises and asking questions. This is how you can benefit the most from this opportunity. We additionally ask participants to prepare for the workshop. This does not mean that you have to study intensively in advance, but you should have briefly dealt with the topics, e.g regular work during the semester, and know where you have gaps in your knowledge.

Please be always aware that this opportunity is organized by volunteers, and we in case of unforeseen events cannot guarantee quality of implementation.
