On Friday, May 9, 2025, 16:00 VIS invites you to an exclusive technical highlight: the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Tour at Zurich Airport. This two-and-a-half-hour guided tour offers a fascinating insight into the world of aircraft maintenance – perfect for tech enthusiasts and anyone wanting to learn more about the complex operations behind the scenes.

Tour Highlights: Engine Logistics: Watch as engines are inspected, serviced, and prepared for transport. Engine Workshop: See how individual parts are cleaned, tested, and assembled. Hangars 1, 2 & 3: Explore the maintenance halls where both large and small aircraft are serviced. Turbo Hall: Gain interesting insights into engine mechanics and how engines function.
Important Information
- Language: The tour will be conducted in English.
- Photo Policy: You are allowed to take photos for private purposes, but not commercially.
- Footwear: Sturdy and comfortable shoes are required for the tour, since we will be walking a lot and be in industrial areas.
- Other: Please take a form of ID, so an ID card or passport, otherwise you will not be let on the tour. We are going through security, so the standard rules for flying apply, i.e. no dangerous objects, no explosives, no liquids, etc. Please do not take any larger bags or backpacks or umbrellas, since they will not be allowed on the tour. If you do take a bag, you will have to deposit it in a locker before the start of the tour for 7 CHF.
Please do not arrive later than 16:00, since the tour will start punctually. The meeting point is at the Arrivals 2.
